Five totally random reasons why I think this song is awesome: 1. It acknowledges the fact that you can hate and love that asshole dude at the same time.
2. The video makes absolutely no sense, you get the feeling the guy is really obsessed with himself, the other guy, or something… See, I lost myself trying to explain things there.
3. The band is called The All-American Rejects, the kind of ridiculously fake indie pop name I would usually sneer at. In fact, I changed the name on my iPod cos I just can’t have it sitting next to my legitimate music.
4. If you are ever inspired to join a gym, dance in the shower, cry and scream simultaneously… This works. Look at it this way, you hope to give him hell, and you know a hot body will do as well!
5. It is the only break up song that does not leave you crying, feeling empowered or any wiser. Maybe you just lost a few brain cells, but guess what? It made you smile.
PS… I haven’t just gone through a breakup or anything. Just saying.
